Established in 2005, Huaxia Hospital is a large-scale grade A tertiary hospital with 1,200 beds. It has a professional medical team and advanced medical equipment. The hospital has over 20 clinical and medical technology departments including internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, emergency, oncology, etc. The outpatient visits exceeded 1 million person-times in 2020.
In 2021, Huaxia Hospital purchased two models of KT series PDA products from our company for mobile information management in various departments, including:
- KT-KP18 Smart PDA: This is a 5.5-inch Android-based smartphone PDA that supports wireless connections like 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth. It has a built-in barcode scanner and NFC module for quick information collection, suitable for use by medical staff.
- KT-V510 Printing PDA: This model adds a 58mm thermal printing module, which can print self-service tickets, test reports, medication labels and other documents, more suitable for complex business scenarios.
The KT-KP18 handheld computer is mainly utilized in hospital and lone working environments like healthcare by the clients . It offers scanning, management and communication capabilities to enhance work efficiency and safety.
Huaxia Hospital uses our PDA products for mobile information management in key departments, with main application scenarios including:
- Ward Management: Medical staff use PDA to collect bedside patient information, scan electronic medical record QR code, check medication against prescription, and upload patient treatment status.
- Pharmacy Management: The pharmacy uses PDA for the whole process monitoring of medicine warehousing, acceptance, dispensing, requisition, etc. Scanning the medicine barcode enables accurate inventory checking. It can also print medicine labels and other documents.
- Medical Technology Management: Medtech staff use PDA to collect patient identity information, classify specimens by scanning sample barcodes, and upload test results to the hospital information system via PDA.
- Emergency Management: The ER uses PDA to scan patient ID, collect condition info, execute treatment instructions, monitor vital signs and upload rescue data, ensuring emergency response efficiency.
During the PDA adoption, Huaxia Hospital also faced some issues:

MDM Software Application
To better manage mobile devices, Huaxia Hospital also adopted our self-developed MDM (Mobile Device Management) software platform.
The MDM enables centralized registration, configuration, monitoring and management of hospital PDAs with functions below:

- Device Configuration: Unified deployment of hospital applications and customization of PDA usage parameters to ensure terminal performance.
